Elven Religion
The Elven Pantheon houses several gods, with one ruling goddess known as Isuviel, the Goddess of Light. Her rival and sibling, Naekor, the God of Darkness, resides in the Abyss. There are four elemental deities as well as many lesser deities that also reside in the Pantheon.

Elysium (heaven)
A vast realm found in the Astral Plane where only the most just, heroic and brave go in death. At it's center is the Pantheon, the temple where Isuviel and the other gods stay. It is surrounded by a huge garden, known as the Elysian fields. Within this garden is a large vine yard and winery (wine is a favored drink among the elven people). Upon death, soldiers who fought well in life become the Valinore, angelic knights used as soldiers of the gods, and are permitted to reside within the Pantheon. Normal people float about the Elysian fields as wisps.

Purgatory - The Final Judgement
Upon death, a soul may find oneself in their physical form as of time of death, yet deprived of all material objects, or simply as a wisp. This depends on how tied they were to the Astral Plane in life (whether or not they possessed any magical power). They are in a large field found in the Astral Plane. Within this field, they are greeted by a large gate at the center of a long wall. These are the walls of Elysium.

Before entering Elysium, every soul must pass a final judgment which will determine if they will be permitted to enter paradise, or be cast down to The Abyss. During the trial, the soul is presented with their most intense desire, based on their greatest of the seven deadly sins. Be it Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy or Pride, the soul shall be tested accordingly. Should they resist these desires, they will be allowed passage to Elysium.

The Abyss (hell)
Should the soul fail the trial, they will be cast into the Abyss, where they will be tempted and tortured by their desires for all eternity, yet never be able to attain them.

Wisps
Wisps are orbs of mana that float about the Astral and Physical Planes. They are the souls of the recently departed. Those that are found on the Astral Plane have successfully entered Elysium, or have not yet undergone the trial. The latter generally fall back down to the Physical Plane because they do not yet realise they are dead, or simply do not wish to accept their fate. So, they are cursed to roam the Physical Plane for eternity, often attempting to possess their former body. Soldiers and other people who suffer violent or untimely deaths are the most likely to become wisps.

Tomyr Beliefs
The Tomyr follow the elven pantheon, but their beliefs vary slightly. They believe in Isuviel, but do not worship her as the Elves do. Given that the Pantheon in Elysium is reserved for the most just and heroic souls, the Tomyr believe that only they may enter the Pantheon and become Valinore, since the Tomyr were originally meant as protectors of Sia, as are the Valinore. Elves and other peoples may only ever enter Elysium as wisps.

Church of Men
Before their mass conversion by the Elven People, Men followed their own spiritual beliefs. They believed in only one god. However, despite the unified religious belief, many human tribes quarreled, and often warred over what their one true God truly wanted out of his people. Elves eventually taught Men the ways of the Elven Pantheon, denouncing their deity and hoping to bring peace to their new found allies. Unfortunately, the nature of Men lead them to war amongst themselves over other matters instead.

Today, the Church of Men no longer holds the power it once did, but there are still some, although very few, pockets of support throughout the western continent.
